Viking Wood ...

Introduction
Viking Wood was founded by Ryan Sutherland, a skilled joiner with a passion for woodwork that runs deep. Ryan grew up in Orkney, where his grandfather, a talented joiner himself, first introduced him to the tools of the trade.

Education
That early hands-on experience sparked something that never left. After leaving school, Ryan went straight into a joinery apprenticeship in 2010, learning the ropes the right way, on site, by doing.

Experience
Over the past 15 years, Ryan has worked on a huge range of projects across Scotland, from detailed site work and full home installations to high-spec bespoke furniture builds. He never cuts corners and always looks for the best way to bring out the potential in a space.

In 2020, he set up Viking Wood to focus on the kind of work he enjoys most, projects that combine practical design, craftsmanship and a bit of creative thinking.
